I know the right way to lose weight is sensible eating and not fad diets but I seem to find it easier to stick to a funny regime which involves leaving out whole food groups etc adn I find sensible eating impossible as IMO anything organic or from a farmers market or deli is Ok regardless of the calorie content.Anyone else.I am cutting out bread again and pasta etc as it does shift the pounds and feel I have failed with just being moderate with'normal'food Things were so much easier in the eighties when my friends and I just ate boiled eggs if we wanted to fit into something for a night out!

Yep. I'm with you in cutting out the pasta and bread. Did it for 18months and lost loads and felt great. Started trying to eat 'healthily' instead with lots of complex carbs and the weight has started to creep back on again (sorry...gallop not creep!!). Why I was tempted to try it I will never know.

Fad diet or not, it works.

BTW I tend to be like you whilst eating a normal diet - if it's free-range or low-GI I must be able to eat stacks of it. Grin

I have to avoid fruit too I'm afraid. Anything with sugar is a problem. And I'm always so hungry when I allow myself to eat carbs. However I actually measured myself this morning ( I don't have scales) and I haven't got any bigger which was a surprise. I think I may give myself till after Easter before I get back to strict low-carb, especially when I cut back on fat too. We've got my brother coming down with his family and my parents Golden Wedding party ....and all those eggs of course ....get that out of the way first Blush
