Port instead of red wine

I'm going to use port in a lamb casserole instead of red wine, but does anyone have any idea how much I should use? Recipe says 300ml red wine, so would 150ml port be okay? Would I need to add extra stock or water? Thanks!

I am no expert but that sounds about right, 100-150ml of port and make up the extra with water or stock, sounds lovely!

I agree, and thanks for reminding me I've run out of port, must put it on the list for tomorrow.
