Children's Birthday Party Inspiration Needed

Got a dozen 3-5 year olds coming. Wanted to do something a bit more original than the normal party food of sausages and crustless sandwiches without straying too much as know how much most children enjoy this food.

Help!

How about 'fruit sticks' (e.g. real pineapple and grapes on sticks)
Jelly in pots (either supermarket or you could cheaply make it yourself)

For party bags how about getting a disposable clear plastic piping bag and filling it with sweets an tie with string or tinsel

Airline food?

Get them to sit on the floor in rows as if they are on a plane (they will have to imagine their seats) and then give them an individual 'tray' with some fruit, cheese straws, some sort of dip, carton of juice etc. If you want something hot just add fishfingers.

Thanks you two. I have the party bags sorted, it's just the party food.

Bumping for any more ideas.

I get those cylindrical wafer biscuits, dip one end in icing then in hundreds and thousands and then put them in a naice jam jar and call them magic wands.

And I always make biscuits in the shape of the number they are turning.

Pizzas? Decorate their own and the off to play party games while they cook?

Thank you x
