We made sloe gin and sloe vodka 3 years ago. It tastes lovely but after its given both of us headaches from hell we've decided that we should do something else with it. We also have 3+ litres of it!
Does anyone have any good recipes for adding it to jams (hedgerow fruits), or fruit cakes? I was thinking of turning it into some Christmas presents for people. We made apple & ginger jam a few years ago which went down lovely and I though a trio of jams, small glass bottle of the sloe alcohol and a fruit cake would warm up the cockles of some of our older family!
