Roast pork goes beautifully with red cabbage

Beamur · 18/10/2012 21:54

Pork would be good too. How is the cabbage cooked?
We had a kind of pork schniztel for dinner (fancy name for pork in crumbs) that would have been nice with red cabbage and mash. DP did a yummy creamy appley sauce with it too.

Hot pot

I craved red cabbage for nearly a week and made a huge pot of it yesterday. Soak in equal parts red wine to vinegar and a cup of sugar, cook for two hours. I added raisins towards the end and some cinnamon but not necessary really. Fine Smile

Hotpot, clearly.

Or butter pie.

Or jus post it to Lancashire. They'll know how to use it :-D
