I have 2ds 3 yrs old and 22 months old. And i am struggling with lunchtimes. They are not really fussy but won't eat sandwiches or toast. Can anyone suggest something fun but healthy and not too expensive to make? Possibly needing their help in preparing it?
TIA

How about making your/their own mini pizzas..?? The bases are easy to make from scratch and you can add healthy topping such as peppers, mushrooms, tuna, ham etc. I do them for dd as finger foods (dd is 10mths) and she loves them. Allows me to give her healthy stuff without her realising to much!

You could also add fruit..??

The cheese is good way to give them calcium as well.

HTH.

Would they eat pitta bread with meat, salad and so on inside it, or with humous as a dip? Or tortilla wraps with different fillings inside?

Otherwise what about things like soup, risotto, omelette?

Brill never thought about that i eat pitta breads with a lot of my meals i'm sure they would make a fun alternative to sandwiches. Can i buy pizza bases or make them? anyone have a recipe?

Don't have a pizza base recipe to hand, but \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/009190031X/qid=1143654725/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/203-0511874-9659915\Annabel Karmel's New Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner} suggests using muffins cut in half as mini pizza bases. That would be even quicker.
