Roast some aubergine, peppers, corgettes, mushrooms, onions, and celery in a covered oven dish until they're sofy and easily mushed up - abotu an hour between 150-200. Blitz these up with some pasta sauce, I use Lloyd Grossmans tom and garlic and then USE IT AS THE BASE FOR HOME MADE PIZZAS!!

Made some of this yesterday and made wholemeal pitta bread pizzas and he wolfed them down!

I also think it is a fab idea, and I've been doing it for a while, but not te mushrooms or celery as even their dismemebered particles would be spotted and rejected by ds2. However, this evening I found a recipe for carrot and orange frozen yogurt. And one for pumpkin ice cream...... maybe the little tyke can be fooled yet

well it was near the bottom of active convos so I rescued it for you Grin

suzywong, I make pumpkin bread, pumpkin custard, banana bread, etc etc. There are lots of recipes for this sort of stuff out there, and it generally goes down a treat.

Grin Thank you Jools. I have a habit of being paranoid at certain times of the month (this being it) whilst also finding hairy men strangely attractive..The Wongster knows what I'm talking about

I've done this for a while now but you don't need to use a jar of opasta sauce - just use a tin or two of chopped tomatoes and add garlic etc. I chop the veggies up, cook things like carrots for a bit in a deep frying pan, add the tomatoes and simmer with a bayleaf or 2 for 15 minutes or so. Whizz it in a blender and freeze in trusty ice cube trays. I make it in bulk :o

Works with spaghetti bolognaise too. And shepherds pie. Peel courgettes if your child will freak out at green flecks!
