Heh heh at "foul swoop".

I don't buy any Christmas food until a few days before. I like it all to be reasonably fresh, even if it isn't stuff that traditionally needs to be fresh.

Makes my blood boil that the supermarkets start selling those big tins of chocolates in September. They know full well that only about 1 in 50 of those will actually be left untouched until Christmas.

I've bought the Panettone, Christmas pudding, biscuits for cheese and a tin of chocolates (hidden well from chocolate fiend DH). I made my mincemeat last week too.

I picked up the M&S Christmas food order form today, so will get my order in this week.

After posting the above I decided to do my M&S order there and then, as otherwise I'll forget about it. I now feel very prepared!

I've bought 2 packs of mince pies which I've stored in my tummy...

I've got my fruit soaking for the christmas cake.

My turkeys are automatically ordered every year. I will have two this year for for the day one for the freezer - I love it. We have a kelly bronze from a local farmer and the taste is amazing.

Not worth buying anything else as it will get eaten.

I love the idea of not going to the shops for days, love my christmas home with friends and family. Luckily have tons of freezer space but only one fridge.

We spend a lot on food over christmas. I love a very traditional foodie christmas but absolutely no food waste - I hate waste!

Not bought but made....still have last year's spare pudding maturing nicely in a cupboard!

debka · 15/10/2012 19:31

Also have last year's spare xmas pud maturing. And last year's sloe gin. And last year's mincemeat.

Am v tempted by the tins of chocolates but I have resolved to buy one very fine box, rather than kilos of crap which I can't resist but are very bad for me.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 16/10/2012 13:54

I've been treating myself to a Hotel Chocolat selection every few months and plan to order their Xmas choice just for me nearer the time!!! Something about decent chocs which means one is plenty....

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/10/2012 14:20

I bought a stollen on Sunday.

I've eaten 2/3 of it.

I have banned myself from mince pies. For now...

AllPastYears · 16/10/2012 15:12

Just made my Christmas cake. Smile

Just bought some posh naice biscuits to hide in my wardrobe. If I don't hide them they will taunt me chanting eat me eat me.
