Gas oven or electric oven?

Feel free to say why

Gas hob, electric oven for best results.

Why do you prefer an electric oven Penny?

Gas. For the hob really because electric hobs are pants. I wish I'd had gas fitted to the kitchen because I hate the electric hob so much.
Also gas costs less per kWh used so is cheaper to run.

gas for both - more responsive and cheaper. Spent £400 to get gas into new kitchen. Worth it.

I SO miss my gas hob in my old house. On this stupid electric one, it's impossible to get a really low simmer. The ring is either on or it's not. I hate it with a passion.

Easier to clean though.

Electric oven is more even heat, for better baking etc. Gas hobs are better for heating pans etc.

I know I definitely want a gas hob - tis just the oven I'm debating as I like the responsiveness of gas (and it's cheaper) but maybe electric gives a more even heat.

Gas much more responsive. Currently back with parents while we buy our new house loong story and mum has gas hob but double electric oven one of them a fan oven. I've cooked here lots before and I just can't get on with the electric oven especially the fan, everything always cooks way too quickly oven almost always too hot me no like
