Spray bottle for cooking oil

I've had a couple of oil cooking spray bottles which are really useful (like this), but they seem to break / leak after a little while, even though I unscrew the lid between uses.

Would a normal spray bottle work just as well? I mean this sort of thing.

No idea. I have the pampered chef one that needs pumping and has never leaked or broken.

Why don't you try and let us know. For that price you cannot really go wrong!

I have the Misto gourmet one, have had for over a year and never had a problem. Looks pretty much the same as the John Lewis one.
I suspect without the pump action forcing the oil out, a normal sprayer might get clogged up, or may not be able to get a fine mist out. But as feelingfull says, for 68p it's probably worth a shot!

Yes, I should have just got one last time I was in Wilko's - I'm overthinking this! :)
