Anyone have any biscuit (not cookie!) recipes please??

Just getting into baking and all I can find are recipes for cookies. Don't get me wrong, I love cookies but I want to try something a bit different! Any recipes you care to share would be gratefully received, thanks!

Buttermilk Bisquits-Easy
In Bowl Place- 2. Cups All-Purpose Flour, 1 T. Sugar,1. Teaspoon Salt, 2 teaspoons Baking Powder,1/2. Teas.Baking Soda. Combine these with a fork.
Take 1/2 Cup of Chilled Vegetable Shortening that you have cut into 1/2 inch
pieces/ Cut this into the Dry ingredients with a Pastry Blender until mixture looks like coarse Crumbs.
Now, make a Well in the center and Add 3/4 Cup of buttermilk.Use your hands and Fold until a Sticky dough forms.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface-gently Folding dough over 4 times
to creat Layers. Now Roll out the dough 3/4 inch thick...and use a 3-inch Bisquit Cutter on your dough.
Place onto a Sheet Pan,dimple the centers...Brush with melted butter.
Cook for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.Jill.

Coconut and Oat Biscuits- without refined sugar so good for little ones too.
