Does anyone have any recipies for me to try with my DS. He is six months old and has been eating fruit, veg, baby rice and baby yoghurt for two months, he is now on three meals a day. Wanted to try out some new flavour for him, with meats, cheese etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

this is one of my dd2 ( 10 months) faves: boil up roughly equal quantities of potato, sweet potato and carrot, then add lots of frozen peas 5 mins before cooked. Then add lots of grated cheese and mash with a potato masher.Cool, serve and freeze all the remainign stuff. It is yummy and has a good balance of nutrients from the veg plus the calcium from the cheese.

lunarx - can i email you too to get recipes?

cheltenhamgal · 23/03/2006 06:50

modsaluk, the cheapest one on Amazon is £6.94, this is a hardback copy so is quite heavy. If I let you have it for £4.50 then the postage would be either £2.52 1st class or £2.00 2nd class therefore giving you a discount of £2.44. Could you let me know today so if you dont require it I can put it on Amazon ? thanks

cheltenhamgal · 23/03/2006 06:56

have a look at \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/203-3401084-9547110\this}
if this doesnt work apologies, I havent done a link before. then go to www.amazon.co.uk and put in annabel karmel in books and they should all come up

You shouldn't really be giving him meat until he's about 7 months , but if you want to give it to him now, try putting the meat in a blender (cook it thoroughly first in a pan or something - how about try cooking some chicken in a vat of chicken stock (home made - try gina ford's chicken stock or even more straight forward a simple vegetable stock)cook the meat until it starts to soften and then blitz the lot in a food blender. Have fun! You can then add any pureed veggies of your choice.

modsaluk · 10/04/2006 22:52

in Annabel Karmel book it says to give chicken and fish at six months, just wondered about the best way to cook and blend it. He has been having smooth purees for a while now and i though he should try some a little corser.
