breakfast ideas for small crowd....

have managed to invite several people over Monday morning as our children have all started Reception full time...

Any ideas? was thinking maybe fritatta, or bagels?

Continental breakfast platter sounds good to me :)

Croissants, Bagels, fruit salad, marmalade, jam, soft cheese, parma ham and hard cheeses would all be good with fruit juice, tea or coffee.

I third the continental approach - much less work then a fry up and easier to do a selection that will appeal to everyone.

You could do fruit shoots and Grggs sausage rolls and see if any of them are MN.

Seriously though I'd do fruit salad and pastries and bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon if feeling posh

Don't offer a choice though, you'll be there for hours like a short order cook

I'd make some nice home-made brioche served with a selection of jams

buttermilk pancakes with fruit and yoghurt or you could go down the American route and serve with crispy bacon and maple syrup

I'd do buttermilk pancakes then fresh fruit with yoghurt and granola.

Go to Aldi/lidl and get the frozen selection of pastries. Yum; cheap but delicious. They oven cook in 5-10 min.

love the 'in advance' idea, so am doing pastries, and fruit salad! Wish I noticed the Aldi pastry selection before!

I remember a Jamie recipe where he made bread dough, then filled it with hard boiled eggs, mushrooms tomatoes etc, then another filled with nutella, chopped nuts and maybe banana, then wrapped them around the filling and cooked them. Made them really long to feed many people.

Very easy and totally scrummy - cut croissants in half, spread bottom with mascarpone, add piece of parma ham, slice emmental, put top on and bake for about 8 mins at about 190 C.
