At the weekend we went to Costco and i got a big box of grapes (massive) for £2.70!!!
DD spotted some blueberries and begged for thenm but it was a big box. I caved in the end and as i though, she doesn't like them. Can't say i've used them before so any ideas how to use up alot of them??

  • puree and freeze
  • bung in pancakes, muffins
  • put in smoothies.

I'm boggled that your DD doesn't like them, though, both my DSes will pig out on blueberries, given the chance.

we have a handful in our cereal or with yoghurt every morning. DS will have a handful for a snack. have never cooked with them, but they disappear fast in our house.

Make american style pancakes then before you turn them over put about 4 on each pancake then turn, they burst alittle when cooking serve with maple syrup and natural yogurt...nice for breakfast

Feistybird · 21/03/2006 21:38

They are (allegedly) a 'super food' - i.e. have fantastic health benefits so encourage your DD!!

fredly · 21/03/2006 23:38

I just mash them with banana.

A north american style blueberry pie! Will post recipe tomorrow. Heaven when just warm from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

Blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins... yum-yum
