Hi all
I just bought a slow cooker and have had a casserole cooking away on low since 10 am - the recipe said to cook for up to 8 hours. I want to take the lid off and check how tender the beef is but have been told that taking the lid off sets the cooking back 20 minutes. Is this true? Urban legends surrounding slow cooking, what next?!
