Not sure if these exist in the UK, but here in France you can buy American Buns in the freezer section. They're bread rolls stuffed with chicken or ham for example, and you can bung them in the microwave for a few minutes to defrost and reheat.
I have just tried making my own to take to work as a packed lunch and they are wonderful, so I thought I'd share.
This was the first recipe I came across , and this is the recipe for the dough . I made them Sunday, to eat today, worked brilliantly, next step is to see how well they freeze (and more to the point, how well they defrost)!
I'm looking for ideas for what to do next as a filling.
