Stew recipes please

I want to make beef stew, hopefully in slow cooker but open to all suggestions.

Must be as simple as possible.

beef
water
1/2 stock cube
2 carrots or one tin (if lazy)
1 onion
salt/pepper (if desidered)
gravy to thicken

you can add
can of tomatoes
or tomato puree
can of peas
pasnips
any thing else you might like!

That looks lovely! I think I will have a stew this week. I put dumplings on top for the last hour of cooking too, yummy. This is what I like about cold weather!
