I am usually very wasteful with food and am trying to be more careful. Made myself a lovely soup but there is loads left, is it safe to freeze - these were the ingredients -

1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 sticks celery, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 x 142g/5oz chicken breast fillets, skinned
1 x 397g/14oz can chopped tomatoes
1 tsp dried oregano
1 level tsp artificial sweetener
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
¼ tsp paprika
½ tsp tabasco sauce
1704ml/3pt chicken stock made with Bovril
salt and ground black pepper

Thanks.

I would. I freeze any soup that doesn't have cream (or similar) in :) Sounds yummy!

Absolutely. I freeze soup al the time - with or without cream.

Does it not separate Frank? I always worry it would

Thanks both. It was delicious Spotty. I've just started slimming world and making some different meals for me to the rest of the family, so it would be great to have some SW friendly meals in the freezer when I'm short on time.

Yes! You can freeze it.

Can't see any problem, tomato based stuff normally freezes perfectly.

No, never. Single cream's a bit risky, but double is fine.
