Gooseberry jam

I have gooseberries in the freezer and thought I'd attempt making jam for the first time.

Does anyone have a good recipe?

Gooseberry jam is fab. I have a recipe: 4 lb gooseberries, 5 lb sugar, 1.25 pints water. Simmer the gooseberries, add the sugar, boil till setting point reached. I think this is the recipe I used last time. I tend to be cautious with the sugar and add the last 25% or so according to taste. It can get quite scummy so I tend to skim the worst off before potting up.
