Can I replace milk in a cheese sauce with soya?

Soya milk? Yes, it will. DH always makes it with soya milk.

I frequently replace milk with soya in white sauces, I don't have a lot of dairy, the only thing is if it's sweetened soya then it will poss taste a bit sweeter than normal, but the cheese may hide that - can't eat cheese so I have no idea if the cheese will counteract the sweetness or not. There are unsweetened soya milks Smile

Yes I have done many times but I find rice milk better for cooking with.

Yes it works well. I make it without the cheese too, using yeast flakes, mustard and crushed pine nuts for savoury flavour.
