A sensible reason for eating mountains of chocolate.......

Someone told me yesterday that your metabolism chages completely after having a baby.
Some people develop a chromium deficiency which leads them to crave......chocolate. So when you're totally desperate for the stuff that's your body telling you you're deficient. You could take a supplement but why bother???

It made sense to me as I didn't particularly like the stuff until after dd was born and then started to eat a bit but after ds, bloody hell, I can't leave the stuff alone.
Just wondered if anyone else had come across this or whether it was b**cks invented by a clever female scientist to make us all feel better.

Oh welshmum

Thank God! I thought it was just me! I never used to be bothered about chocolate before ds1 or ds2 was born, but now, I NEED a chocolate bar a day! My treat is having a cup of coffee and a Picnic/Twirl/Any chocolate bar whatsoever when the kids are in bed!

Do you think we need to form a support group where we can lobby chocolate manufacturers for a new mum discount?

(whispers)...but do you think it's actually true though? I know it doesn't really matter but I'd like to know.....(said she of one large bar of Green and Blacks a day)
