Thai paste past its sell by date! Would you use it?

I have got mae ploy green curry Paste, it says best before: 8.2.2012 - it has never been opened, do you think I could use it?

Yes, fine. "Best before" means just that - ie. it would have been nicer before 8th Feb. It doesn't mean "inedible after". (Unlike "use by" which does mean "might be dangerous after").
