Dish one: Turkey pieces, carrots, onions brocoli and peppers

sopinach, natural yoghurt chicken, chickpeas and mushrooms.

Please tempt me, getting bored with the stirfrys.

Have normal storecupboard spices/herbs

curry?

Piffle · 15/03/2006 20:54

It's screaming curry at me...
I detest turkey so would feed that to teh cat, but spinach chickpeas and tomatoes with youghurt would make super curry - you could chuck the other veg in too

I always have curry and just need some variety.

I would have said curry. what about Turkey pie, not very interesting though or turkey stew made with chicken stock, gravy granules and marmite?

Country Chicken casserole

Fry chicken/turkey, put in casserole dish with veges cover with tin of chopped toms and 2 stockcubes dissolved in 175mls of water and chopped parsley.

marinade the turkey (chicken also mentioned?) in yog with some garlic. make into kebabs on skewers with onions, mush and peppers. can have hummous on side with rice.

but spinach chickpea and mushroom curried sounds pretty fab too, could just grill turkey with a bit of cumin or somthing on it?

How about a North African dish ? You can use the chicken or turkey, chickpeas, onions and carrots but you will need dried apricots and prunes and cous cous. You can also do a plain cous cous with the chick peas.

For the spinach you can do a side dish (again this is Middle Eastern): wash and chop into big shreds and then LIGHTLY cook spinach by adding just a few tablespoons of water to it and continously stirring over medium heat. Use a non-stick pan. Allow spinach to completely cool. Add yoghurt and stir. Add a bit of salt if you like. Absolutley gorgeous and very healthy !!

I dine out often, esp. love Turkish and Lebanese, etc. hence the above ideas !!

Edodgy gave me a fab recipe the other day for Sri Lanken rice.
You could use up all that veg in it and add the chicken.

Will post the recipe if you like.
