Can anybody tell me how they would adapt this recipe for pot roast chicken so that it can be done in a slow cooker? And how long to cook it for?

TIA

If it were me, I would just throw it all in together, possibly leaving the bits to be fried until last, I would cook it for 3-4 hours or longer depending on when people needed to be fed, I would just lower the heat and addd water to ensure it doesn't thicken.

#Oh and no I wouldn't brown chicken first just throw in the peices and they cook!

Forget browning or pre cooking.

Switch the SC on.
Boil a kettle of water.

Put all the ingredients except the stock in the slow cooker. Use 2/3 of a pint of water to make stock (or if yo have fresh stock, heat it up to boiling)

Add the stock to the SC and leave for the day.

Shove it all in - no browning and very very little liquid - just dissolve the stock if it's a cube in a tiny amount of water, and drain the tinned tomatoes. The secret is always to put hardly any liquid in at all.

Brill, thanks!
