Freezing sandwiches

A friend of mine suggested this for the dc's lunchboxes.
Ds1 is a bit of a fuss-pot with sandwich fillings.
Can I freeze jam, pate, meat paste?

haven't tried any of those fillings but would think yes. My kids did this for the last couple of years of primary - cheese and marmite were their favourites - they'd take it in turns to sit down and do a load every couple of weeks and then each pull out what they wanted in the morning. Rolls would be defrosted and lovely and fresh for lunch and would also help to keep drink/yoghurt/fruit cold.
