Chocolate Cookies

Has anyone come across a recipe for chocolate chip cookies that are actually like the ones you get from Ben's or Millies cookies... You know slightly soft in the middle...?

My search for a good recipe is seeming a bit futile...

Very old recipe that we always use.

Basic recipe

100 gm butter
100 gm gran sugar
100 gm soft light brown sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla essence
100 gm wholewheat flour
100 gm self raising flour
150 gm dark chocolat

cream butter and sugars
beat in egg and vanilla essence
Stir in flours
Chop chocolate and stir in
With a dessert spoon spoon mixture onto nonstick paper and flatten slightly, leave room to spread.
bake 8-10 mins at 190 gas 5
Transfer to cooling rack whilst still warm.

We vary the recipe by adding cocoa powder or oats or use only white flour. Handfuls of peanuts and raisins are also good.

It is a very forgiving recipe, the cookies should be quite soft when to take them out of the oven.

nigella's are the best ever! Recipe here!

i think i use slightly less choc chips weight wise, usually a bag of dark and a bag of white..i have a feeling they are 100 or 125 g bags, but it doesn't seem to have been a problem.
