School pick up time snacks....

So what do we feed them? I am working (most days) and need to have a bag ready that I can take with me in the morning for pick up time when the poor mite acts as if he hasn't been fed all day (which he has, and I know for a fact he often has seconds!).

I dont want to have to rely on crisps and museli bars, and sandwiches will be a bit yukky if they are kept in my drawer all day!

I need to get organised!

How about boxes of raisins or the yogurt covered pieces of fruit?

Slice of malt loaf?
Bread sticks - you can get them in small bags in Tesco
twiglets as a better alternative to crisps?
dried apricots

I sometimes make up a sandwich bag each for my dcs. Sometimes it has some choc buttons and raisins in, other times mini cheddars, rice cakes etc. Whatever mixes together ok and i have in the cupboard.

I get round this by doing dinner for my 5 year old as soon as we get in - or I have a jacket potato almost done as we arrive home and serve it with beans and cheese etc.

Stops him filling up on snacks and then not eating dinner!

Just another suggestion anyway

piece of fruit, breadsticks, pancake, brioche, plain biscuit (digestive, rtb), oatcakes. Plus a carton of juice.
