Yesterday I was in Asda and this elderly women asked me whether I use the cheaper brands, as she was unsure whether she should buy them. I told her that certain things I do as one they are nicer and two they are cheaper, do you do the same?

"It says 100% pressed. maybe they meant 100% pressed water and concentrate rather than pineapples"

Grin

I suspect not..... well in that case it should have been made from pressed fruit .....no guarantee that it was freshly pressed or that they fruit were of good quality of course. But it's down to personal taste - if you happen to lurve the taste of Asda 100% pressed p'apple juice then you're quids in....

I buy very few branded products tbh but not many value products either.

I buy value:
foil
clingfilm
food bags
tinned tomatoes (sometimes)
water

I buy own brand:
beans
tinned toms
ketchup
brown sauce
salad cream
bread (usually)
tuna
weetabix/porridge oats/ready brek/bran flakes
olive oil
herb/spices (if they stock what I want)
margerine/butter
frozen veg (peas, sweetcorn)
oven chips
soup
lemonade
fruit juice
toothpaste
shampoo (sometimes)
baby soap
cream cheese

I buy branded:
nappies
wipes
yoghurts
coca-cola
and not much else really.

i have a very tight budget and hate buying food because it goes in one end and comes out the other find it a waste of money, i'm strange i know, lol.

I tend to buy mostly value/shop brand stuff. But don't eat alot of meat in this house.

And i'll only buy free range eggs and chickens.

Yes. Unless they are crap. Sometimes they are better though.
