...We need to Thaw a 9 pound. (Boneless) Leg of Lamb- to cook this Sunday,
August 2...and we need to know HOW LONG to Thaw it out. Currently the Leg
of Lamb is in our big freezer, wrapped in. Very Thick Butcher Paper. Thanks for
Your kind consideration and suggestions.Jay-girl in OKC,OK

At least 24 hours.

Personally I'd move it to somewhere cool, the fridge if you have to but a cool place is better, start to thaw it on Thursday and then move it to the fridge when defrosted. It won't go off in a couple of days in the fridge.

On the internet,we noticed that a lady tried to Thaw her 4 KG leg of Lamb
In the fridge for 2 days...and she said that it was STILL as Hard as a Rock!
Whoa...!
