What shape tin?

nannycook · 26/08/2012 17:55

Hi MrsMango, its a kind of roasting tin 32cm length, by 22cm width, is it worth doing a template, or just draw with edible pen onto the cake its self?

Depends on how detailed you want the shape to be. I think I'd probably go for a pretty simple shape, and just mark the cake very carefully.

I'd probably cut slimish triangles out of the top corners, 8cm in, 5cm down, then kind of slide them out and down a bit till they made sleeves. No wasted cake and easy to ice.

Thanks MrsMango, will give that ago.

Well everyone, i've made my footie shirt, really pleased with it, however it took ages to colour the fondant, maybe next time i'll buy the ready coloured fondant. I've also made my fondant little girl, all drying now but not finished, i bought one of those moulds for the face, has anyone bought one of those before? they're actually very good as they are so detailed, just need abit of paint on the face and some hair( should be fun, not) but that isnt untill next week, just had few days off and decided to get stuck in to it, and we're moving soon, so may not have alot of time to do anything!!!
