How to make gripe water/infacol?

Hey

So we've gone through a large bottle of gripe water in about 2-3 weeks on the minimum dose. If our little boy needs it for the next 2-3 months we'll need to spend £100+ if we increase the dose that will be over £200!

Is there any good recipes for wind-reducing drinks for babies? He's 2 months. People have mentioned fennel?

Thanks very much :)

Fennel tea. Used widely on the Continent. Available from health food shops or our local Polish shop has aa version made by Hipp.

Can you not get it on prescription?

Gripe water is only £1.99 per bottle in Morrisons.

South Africans use rooibos tea for babies with colic and wind. We used it with both our DSs (DH is from SA) and I think it worked...it's hard to tell with gripe water, I mean they might have burped anyway! At the time I'd have tried anything...!
