Strawberry scone cake

I made this as the cake today (it was on the front cover of the good food magazine a couple of months ago) and it was an absolute delight.

I heated the strawberries up with some brown sugar and vanilla before I tipped them over the top and will definitely make it again.

Sounds gorgeous! Will give it a go in the week!

Sounds a fab recipe Potts, however, all the reviews underneath say no one could get the buttermilk needed, i saw it in Asda yesterday, by the cream on the top shelf!
