Slow cooker fans...

I've never had a slow cooker before but I've heard a lot about them and now we're coming towards the autumn I want to think about getting one. Can any one give feedback on this one?

It's obviously hard to imagine what it looks like over the Internet but I want to know that I am going to be able to cook what I like in it. So in addition to stews, chillis and mince dishes I want to be able to cook joints it it; so pork, gammon and a medium sized chicken is important. The larger version of this I feel will be too big for us as a family, plus I have no storage space so it will need to stay out and I don't want something that takes up half of my counter top.

Thank you!

I have a 3.5 ltr slow cooker which is plenty big enough for at least 4 ppl, do joints etc.
I store mine on the top of my kitchen cupboard, it's not that big though so would be ok for a kitchen worktop if you had no where else to put it.

That will be big enough for chicken and joints. As long as you can get meat in, even if you have to push and squeese to get the lid on it will be fine.

Thanks for posting. I'll give it a go then!

That's just like mine. But mine is the white one. It's fab. And the crock pot is so easy to clean.

I got my 3.5 litre one for £15 on special offer in ASDA if that helps.
