Pasta salad recipe please?

I am doing a buffet for about 20-30 people and need a delicious pasta salad please, vegetarian friendly, and no cheese.

I was intending to chop up cherry toms, cucumber, spring onions, that kinda thing, maybe some olives too, & I have tons of fresh basil around, but the dressing stumps me.

Ideas gratefully received!

Try a pesto type thing (minus cheese) with roasted pine nuts. Goes really well with chopped basil and olive oil. Just roast the nuts for a few minutes until brown and it will give the salad a nice edge.

Haha, I read your post and was about say a pesto dressing minus the parm but craftyone beat me to it. And no need to just stick to basil - throw in some parsley, mint, any other green herbs you like for a lot of flavour.

For a completely different type of pasta salad, you could do a noodle salad with oriental vegetables and a peanut dressing. (PB mixed with rice vinegar, soy, chilli sauce, lime...)

I made a nice one recently, was sort of coronation chickeny, but minus the chicken.

Fab, I shall try the pesto one. Parmesan is fine, I just can't abide feta etc!

I love the peanut noodley idea, will try that another time definitely.

Thanks all.
