2 year old refusing dinners

My 2 year old (2 and 3 months) has been refusing to eat dinners for 3 months now, he eats a dinner occasionally. He always eats breakfast (cereal) and will devour bread and packed lunch type food but is not good at eating fruit and veg apart from banana's and smoothies - I feel i've tried all approaches, ignoring, encouraging and get it again for tea - any other suggestions?

eat together so he can copy grownups, leave it there till he's finished and if he rejects serve it up later. sounds like he might be filling on bread rather than food you want him to eat. don't make a fuss (encourages bad behaviour). no desert till you've eaten most of your dinner (you can't be hungry can you?)

if he only likes bananas and smoothies is it the chewing he can't be bothered with? give the fruit to him when he's hungry and there's no other options, eg when you are out. that might force him to get used to it
