Wow, no chutney thread? What with Xmas so soon

I'll start off, I just made my first batch this year and I am now the proud owner of 4kg of beetroot chutney.

Someone remind me that fitting 5kg of stuff into my jam making kettle is really really hard!

I'm on the look out for a good caramelised onion and piccalilli recipe though!

I'm in! I have no produce to pickle yet, but was planning on doing onions and shallots in very chilli and tarragon vinegar. Last year I had a car boot full of plums from my parents' orchard but terrible harvest this year. Pretty much barren and the apples look ropey too. High hopes for wild blackberries though.
