BORING POST ALERT

Just noticed that, according to the label, the beef mince in my fridge went 'off' yesterday. I was looking forward to my spag bol tomorrow. Still looks nice and pink. OK to use, d'ya reckon?

smell it -bad meat has a very distinctive smell

chicken I wouldn't touch but red meat should be fine

If it looks and smells fine, it's fine. Same with chicken or any other meat.

BertieBotts · 09/08/2012 23:42

It'll be fine! If you're worried then cook it tonight or in the morning if possible and then just heat through later.

Mince goes weird when it's really off. Sucks the packaging all in.
