Rice cooker?

I really want an incredibly expensive Japanese rice cooker but can no way justify the expense. Smile

Lidl have one for £15, anyone got one?

We eat a variety of rice, Japanese, basmati, long grain will it be able to cope with different varieties?

I have a rice cooker from Argos cost me 10 quid and it's fab cooks every kind of rice I use (very similar to you)

Thanks just, £10! was it on sale? Did it come with instructions for the different varieties or did you just have to work it out by trial and error?

I don't think it was but it was about 3 years ago now lol. It came with instructions but it wasn't always right, it always kept messing up on long grain(drying out to quick) but I found adding half a cup more of water solved that issue.

Have you seen the Jamie at Home really good rice pot? It's AMAZING!! Can go in the microwave and you just put it on for just over five mins - leave it for 10 and you have perfect rice! Not cheap at £36 but you can do new potatoes, cous cous and pasta in it. I hosted a party last year and got one and I use it every week. It rocks!!
