Tomorrow night I am cooking a meal for my BF for the first time.

I was thinking steak and blue cheese sauce. But I don't know what to serve with it. Does anyone have ideas?

It won't matter if you serve up spuds & salad or jelly & custard. He won't notice and he won't care. :)

chips and salad, dont over complicate it or youll look a mess and be stressed and sweaty.. looking a mess and being sweaty is for later ;)

Grilled mushrooms and chunky chips.

How does one grill a mushroom?
I have heard of such things but have yet to experience one.

on a griddle frying pan with some butter or under the grill..
what did you do in the end?!

I haven't done anything yet. The date is tonight. And now I have a stinking cold and I just want noodle soup with lots of chilli and ginger.Sad

Not French onion soup!

Ex BF told me years later I'd fed him strange dark greasy soup.

He ate it happily at the time. The fact that he was too wet to say "Star, I don't like this." is a lot of why he's my ex.

I'd do the steak
Home made chips and blue cheese sauce with some rocket or watercress.

Hope you feel better

DioneTheDiabolist · 04/08/2012 14:21

Should I dress the rocket?
