Quick easy buffet type lunch

hosting party on Sunday for eight adults and two toddlers.

Moved house last Friday. Kitchen is unpacked but still getting to grips with gas oven and small hob.

what to cook? Last year weather delightful, did hot sausage rolls, wedges, salads, quiches, meat platter and fish platter.

This year weather looks to be crap. Have two of the guests offering to bring some food along but need to tell them by this afternoon what I would like them to bring!

I don't think the food needs to be so very different to last time, mind. Its not like its winter and you want a stew.

We have friends over Sunday and I'm doing Jamie's Epic Roast Chicken Salad, pates, cheeses, breads, sunblush toms, dips and a passionfruit cheesecake.

How about doing a big roast joint of meat (slow roast pork?)
Serve sliced up on a platter type thing with another platter of big floury bread buns and a bowl of apple sauce and a tray of stuffing?
Let everyone help themselves!
You could do potato wedges or similar to go with it?
All easy to cook and serve, you can have it warm so nice if the weather's crap.
Then if you want salad and things on the side do that too. (or ask your guests to do that part!)
