Scone recipes - not impressed by Mary Berry

This is my second time baking scones and I tried the recipe from the goddess that Mary Berry is supposed to be... well pah I say, PAH Ms Berry! The dough was so sticky and I was so paranoid to overwork it that I ended up with the most difficult to cut dough and the end result is pretty disappointing, nothing like the scones on this picture: www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/recipes/8737895/Mary-Berrys-Devonshire-scones-recipe.html

OR you can use the lemonade recipe!!

IT REALLY WORKS!

3 cups SR flour, 1 cup lemonade, 1 cup double cream

Flour into a bowl, add cream and lemonade and mix with a knife.

That is the basic recipe. You can add extras as you please!

I prefer a sweeter scone so I add half a cup of icing sugar to the flour and also a cup of sultanas

I have made cheese and chive ones also....a cup of grated cheese and a couple of tbs of chopped chives.
