DD1's 4th birthday party on Sat and im making attempting a princess castle cake for her.

Stupidly busy this week so wondering how far in advance I can make the cake. Im planning a Madeira.
If I made the cake today, would it be ok to ice on Fri afternoon/evening?
If so how would I store it?

thanks :)

In case you get no answers, you might want to try the baking thread :)

If you made it early in the day and wrapped it well, you could freeze it until Friday.

Make it now, wrap in a layer of foil and then clingfilm and freeze it. You can ice it frozen (often much easier this way as it crumbs less and is easier to handle without squashing/falling apart). Good luck!
