On a hot self catering holiday, what would you

Feed your dcs? I'm struggling to get them to eat salad and am running out of ideas.

picnic dinner - baguette, sliced ham, tomatoes, cucumber, crudites and dips etc?

how accessible are 'different' salad ingredients (or is anything green a no-go?)

I have a hard time of it with feeding salad to my two, but have managed to get them onside a little with:

carrot and peanut
strawberry and spinach
sweetcorn, feta and tomato

all with yummy crusty bread/potato salad/cold chicken/etc.

oh yes, was going to say dips (hummous, mostly, in our house!) with a variety of things to crunch alongside. pate

pasta salad (ie cold pasta)
potato salad (ie cold potatoes)
carrot salad (ie grated carrots)
couscous salad

all served with chicken that you buy already cooked/roasted
