If I make my own sauce using cooked veg and tomatoe juice etc,. can that be frozen safely?

I read somewhere you cant freeze cooked herbs so should i just defrost the sauce heat up and then add herbs?

that will be fine to freeze. I've never heard you can't freeze dried herbs, and do so regularly with no ill effects, so am sure you can add the herbs to the sauce as you cook it and ffreeze all together.

You can't freeze cooked herbs? On what grounds? That cannot be right, I have worked in many good restaurants and stocks are frozen, containing fresh or dried herbs, with no issues.

This is fine, normal practice to freeze cooked tomato sauce - frozen pizza etc in supermarkets?

cooked frozen herbs. It may have had more to do with meat dishes with cooked herbs, but im not using meat. Once the sauce is cooking or before sauce is cooking i cn fry up quorn and then add sauce right?

you can freeze herbs seperatly!

you absolutely can freeze cooked herbs, I am sure of it. you could also freeze the sauce with quorn in it if you wanted to.

Ever heard of frozen ready meals? An awful lot of them have herbs in.

Of course you can freeze herbs!
