Cordial Recipes and notes

Since DS was born, I have developed a love of making cordial. I have a book (got off Amazon for a bargain price) but I like to write notes about how the cordial went e.g. I made a batch of elderflower cordial recently but the recipe made it very sweet so would like a notes section so I could remind myself not to put too much sugar in next time I make it. Does anyone have this problem too or know of a recipe book with a notes section?

No idea - I've always just bought my cordials - and I get through gallons of elderflower, it's my normal drink. Could you write comments on a post it note and leave it stuck on the same page? Or just write very neatly in the margins in pencil? Can understand if you dont want to write in the book though - I hate doing that and my books are all pristine whereas dh happily writes notes throughout his books, especially if they are non fiction.

On a separate note - how easy is it to make elderflower cordial? Would be nice to try some 'real' rather than manufactured stuff! Hmmm. Ponders whether dh will click that if I make elderflower cordial now there won't be any elderflower berries left to make wine in the autumn. Wonder if I can get away with blaming the squirrels :o

Oh yes - post it notes would be useful! Thanks :-)
The hardest thing about cordial is getting the citric acid - you have to shop around as some pharmacies don't sell it (apparantly you can cut drugs/make bombs with it).
