Just made it for the first time and it didnt rise much at all, what could I have done wrong?

I've not made this for a while but did it loads a few years ago. I don't remember it being very risen. IIRC it was about 2 inches or so tall and was a dense, moist cake. Yum!

It doesn't rise much. It's also better after a day or two.

No it didn't rise much.
I did mine using the green and blacks recipe book. I grated a entire bar of Mayan gold over the top while the cake was still hot. Was bloody delicious! Grin
