I've just realised the spiky bush thing in my front garden is in fact a gooseberry bush
- good job the stork wasn't doing deliveries otherwise there'd be a toddler or two under there by now.
what I do have is one bowl of gooseberries in the fridge and loads more to ripen on the bush. Anyone got any delicious suggestions about what do with them? I have a vague memory of my mum emptying pretty much a whole packet of caster sugar on them as a child but other than that...
