Defrosting and then refreezing...can I? should I?

Dh managed to leave the freezer door open today - i only realised when i went to help myself to some Haagen Daaz and it was completely liquid....

Does this mean I have to throw out everything in the freezer - meat, fish, frozen home cooked meals etc? Most of the stuff feels soft to the touch...

Am so cross!!!

Please tell me I can shut the freezer door and all will be well....or do I have to chuck everything?

Thank you so much

I've done this. I would just shut the door again. Don't eat any cooked rice or cooked chicken in there, but the rest should be fine. Stomach of asbestos, me Grin

Or rather, you can eat the cooked chicken, but don't re-freeze it.
