Treacle tart.

Hi, just copying this over to recipes, have tried food and not got far.

I thought treacle tart was made with treacle so bought a tin of black treacle. Now I realise that it is actually made with golden syrup. But I have already put 1 tbsp of black treacle in pan. Will this ruin it?

It smells all Christmassy.

Given the time on your post, I'm guessing you've already found out the tart wasn't ruined, just tastes richer!

Way back in the day it was treacle proper that was used, but tastes have changed since, hence the move to golden syrup.
