They won't last much longer and the DSs won't eat them raw. I need inspiration!

Soup?

Batch cook pasta sauce for the freezer?

Cut in half, on baking tray, some herbs and oil and garlic. Heat over as hot as it will go, put in oven then turn oven off and leave overnight. Resulting roasted toms can be quizzed into sauce or soup or whatever or put in salad

mulch up, hang in a muslin with a tub underneath. what drips out over next 24 hours, possibly not loads..pinch of salt sugar and dash of tobasco pour over ice and vodka.

Agree with soups/sauces. Put them on a pizza, would the ds's eat them that way if they helped to make them? Make a chutney? A salsa to go with something like fish or salad?

How about a tomato and goats cheese tart on puff pastry?

Takes 2 minutes to make, really nice, can be used for lunch the next day.

Bake with some decent sausages, a halved clove of garlic, butter and a splash of balsamic vinegar for about 40 mins - covered for the first 20 mins. Serve with mash and a green salad.

I freeze them whole and the next time I cook a stew/pasta sauce just lob them in ...

IHaveAFeatureWallAndILikeIt · 01/07/2012 14:54

It involves them being raw, but I just had to link this anyway. They go down really well at kids parties!

another vote for roasting them - no need to chop in half
